Perfect Properties is a responsive web app that provides property buyers with information on properties of interest. It is primarily for new, small-scale property buyers who are looking to invest for additional income or financial security.
The purpose of my work is to create a user-friendly, responsive web app containing a database of available residential properties and land, and comprehensive information on each listing.

Role
UX UI Designer
DESIGN APPROACH
As much of the UX research work was already completed, I was focusing on the UI design of this project. With the deliverables provided by the team, I started defining design criteria from user stories, then drafted low-fidelity wireframes, built mood board to create a consistent UI style guide and meanwhile developed mid-fidelity wireframes, lastly I polished the high-fidelity wireframes, created a prototype and final mockups for clients and developers.
DESIGN CHALLENGE
Real estate investment is an increasingly popular way for individuals to achieve financial security. It is an exciting and emotional experience, but often complicated. While there are plenty of blogs and agencies providing information, often, buyers new to the market may struggle to get started without professional guidance and waste time viewing properties out of their range. Unseasoned buyers need access to reliable, uncomplicated information about their potential property investments. As a UI designer, my challenge is to create an app that will provide them with the expertise needed to get started efficiently.
WORK PROCESS
01. User flow
02. Wireframes
I made some initial sketches and a rapid prototype for the first round of usability testing. According to the feedback, I digitized it to mid-fidelity wireframes using Sketch.
03. Moodboard
In order to decide the visual design, two different mood boards were created and the blue one was chosen through a preference test. The colour palette is chiefly monochromatic. Deep blue is a sophisticated, professional and modern feel, the gold colour is associated with tradition, affluence, and extravagance. White evokes feelings of simplicity, elegance, and purity and helps to communicate a calm, uncomplicated, and professional atmosphere.
